Every story needs a hero, and Cal Gallagher is happy to oblige. Whether it's looking out for the little guy, sticking up for the girl who got her heart broken, or calling out the school bully, Cal is there with a fierce protective streak, a fiery temper, and a strong sense of justice. He's no shy hero, either. No, he's the kind who loves to be admired and to surround himself with a gaggle of friends. But even heroes have their kryptonite and sometimes that selfsame heroic urge to safeguard his loved ones can also prove to be a serious personality defect, particularly if the person in question didn't want "saving" in the first place.
